Blossoming Thursday
Posted on: January 19, 2012
Just to let you know, I’m back on track and full of energy!
Not only did I just receive these beautiful flowers from a guest for something as obvious as giving them a nice room, I bought a fancy dress today that I’ll be wearing at the exciting Nordic Choice Winter Conference in Stockholm this weekend!
Life is gooood!
Photographs of days that pass
Posted on: December 25, 2011
I found these going through old photographs at home.
One is from say, 1992 and the other one from 2007.
2012 is just a flip of a page away.
I made a calender for my mom with pictures of her cat Smilla and when filling in the blank boxes with each month’s dates, I couldn’t help but think of how far reality is from theory sometimes.
You look at a number in a calender like it’s “just another day” but really, it’s life giving you another chance, new moments to experience.
Don’t take it for granted.
“Don’t count every hour in the day, make every hour in the day count”
Remember this feeling you hold in you heart at Christmas, having given to others and recieved so much.
Remember as often as possible to be kind, to spread joy, to act out of love.
Be grateful for today.
Tomorrow; come what may…
I Heart Life

The flower delivery boy must have lost my roses and there were no chocolate coated strawberries on my bed side this morning but I had a good day still, at work, with my friends. And while chatting with one of the regulars we agreed that Valentine’s Day had gotten way too commercial anyway.
The real gifts are those of appreciation every day.
A smile in the morning, a laugh during the day, a kiss before you fall asleep.
I loved being in a relationship and I loved those everyday wonders. I miss it sometimes, I do, but there is too much I need to ride out on my own, before I can commit to anyone, truthfully and completely, the way I need to commit, in order to satisfy my soul.
Until then, well, someone told me today you should do three things everyday that makes you happy. I know my three includes being a good friend every day, enjoying my coffee and choosing the soundtrack of the day as I walk over the bridge to work.
And as for Valentine’s, I got the best gift from my mother; a golden heart – and Life.
