Released: December 2011

Favourite tracks: Every single one!
Here it is: The Black Keys is my favourite band out of all time! Obviously that’s a bold statement but I just can’t think of a band that have released so many songs that have everything I search for in a song. Listening to The Black Keys is aching desire and pure satisfaction all wrapped up and released at the same time. With lack of better words, it’s the sound of sex.
#34. The Black Keys – Brothers

Artist: The Black Keys
Album: Brothers
Country: USA
Released: May 2010

Favorite tracks: All of them, though I particularly like the first half of songs.
The Black Keys are definitely one of the best blues rock bands of the Century. Some say this album is “slick” compared to their early albums and truthfully “The Big Come Up” and “Rubber Factory” are much more dirty and raw. But then again, “Attack and Release (which is already on this list) and “Brothers” is so well produced, and I dig that. Sort of spotlessly muddy.

Favourite tracks: All You Ever Wanted, I Got Mine, Psychotic Girl, Lies, Oceans and Streams, Things Ain’t Like They Used To Be
The Black Keys consists of only two band members; Patrick Carney on drums and Dan Auerbach on guitar/vocals. Still, their full rock sound will blow your mind. I love the classic Zeppelin guitar riffs, the bluesy feel, the rough- and ruthlessness.
They have been around for quite some time but haven’t gotten much attention in Sweden. The Blakroc collaboration project with some of the biggest names in Hip Hop has though and is definitely worth checking out.
